Personality: Delilah, or Del by some, comes from a broken home.  Her dad was never around during her childhood, always away on “business trips”, until one weekend, he just never came back home.  It was a few weeks later that Delilah’s mom received divorce papers in the mail, the prenuptials having already delegated who got what.  Delilah wasn’t even mentioned in the papers, so it was assumed by her mother’s lawyer that Delilah was in full custody of her mother, who was now despondent.  Delilah had an older sister, Glimmer, but she left the house before she was 16, leaving a young Del alone with her lifeless mother. 

In desperate pleas to get her mother’s attention, Del ran off the deepend, so to speak. She got in numerous relationships that were with older men, but she didn’t tell people they were predatory.  She didn’t want to be unhappy with her life, but she knew that throwing it all away was the only hope she had of receiving her mother’s affections again.  Lacking control and stability in her life, Del grew self-image and esteem issues.  Her mother didn’t notice though, and barely said “good bye” as Del left the house to arrive at SA. 

Del is damaged. She sees no value in herself or her life, and she is convinced she is incapable of being loved, despite the fact that she dearly wants to love everyone around her.  She doesn’t want to be taken advantage of, which is something that she’s paranoid about, so she doesn’t let people in easily. She wears a fake blank stare intended to push people away, despite the fact she wants someone to hold her close.  She acts interested in nothing but reckless behaviors, and acknowledges nothing as “good” or “happy”.  Will anyone be able to melt her jaded heart and get her to blossom?
